Description: Ballet is a gorgeous Border Collie puppy who was brought into the shelter after she was found wandering after puppy curfew. No one came for her so she is now looking for a home who will love her, train her, and put that smartypants border collie brain to work. Ballet is smart as a whip and learns so fast. She absolutely thrives on being given something to do to. Puzzle toys, flirt pole, training—yes please! Ballet is typical puppy so housetraining is a work in progress but she keeps her crate clean for the workday and overnight. She is fantastic with other dogs but will herd them playfully which doesn’t always go over well with some dogs especially the little ones. She has not been around cats but would need a proper introduction to them and reminders that they aren’t for play. Ballet is of the mindset that everything is for play! Description: Cinna is a medium sized adult mixed up mutt found tied up alone with a tag that identified her however the shelter was unable to make contact with any potential owner. How she ended up there and then not reclaimed at the shelter we don’t know but what we do know is that she was sure loved and cared for prior (note: we will not allow any negativity towards her previous owners. We do not know their circumstances or how she ended up where she was). Cinna is very playful and good with other dogs and loves people. She is a bit of a velcro dog and wants to be where her people are. She’ll contentedly lay at your feet while you work, hang out in the yard while you do yard work, and politely follow you around the house. Cinna loves to go for walks and is learning to walk nicely on the leash. She is housetrained, does not enjoy being crated and would prefer the freedom to roam around the home. Description: Cora is a sweet pittie girl who found herself all alone in this cold weather. She is the typical young pittie who needs lots of exercise to be happy. Luckily she absolutely loves to play and gets along famously with our other foster, Batman. She is quite the puller on leash, but is learning that not pulling makes for a better walk. She sticks around off leash and absolutely loves romping around in our fenced yard. She is a bit bull headed (show me a pittie who isn't!), but is learning "leave it" and is very treat motivated. She crates well and is doing excellent on house training (a few accidents post shelter are expected). However, while she is not aggressive, she also will not back down when challenged so needs either slow introductions or a non alpha dog in the family. Dog-savvy cats are also preferred as she does show interest in them, but really wants to play. Cats are surprisingly resistant to playing with a big slobbery dog, however. If you have a friendly dog who loves wrestling, then Cora will fit right in! She would also love a situation where she was the only dog and received all the love and attention. Cora is about 45 lbs and 2 years old

She is wicked smart, loves to yell about anything and everything, and we’re not sure she ever stops moving. She is working hard to learn to have an off-switch, loves to learn new things though there’s a healthy dash of that husky stubbornness in there, and anything you want to do with her she is all in. All in, all the time is her motto in life. Running in the backyard? Full speed. Playing fetch? A contact sport according to her. Playing with other dogs? She's a champion snuggler and the second your butt hits the couch she is there to help share the cushion, the blanket, and your popcorn! He absolutely loves to go for walks and when you pull his leash out he turns right back into a puppy with excitement. He walks well on the leash after an initial bout of excitement pulling and knows basic commands. Rusty has lived with dogs and cats and does well with all. He is loving and friendly to all people. We can’t say enough good things about Rusty. He isn’t flashy in looks, he isn’t a cute little puppy anymore, but he’s got years and years of experience being a good boy to share with a forever home.

He is VERY food and treat motivated and if you have either you have his full attention. He can be mischievous and stubborn, but is very smart and trainable for someone who has the time to work with him. His wish list includes: His own human, a play mate that likes a kamikaze play style. A snuggle buddy human or canine. Routine walks or runs. Mental stimulation. And all the foodz and treats plz. He is very reliably housed trained. He knows sit, lay, go to your room, out of the kitchen, stay and wait (with a release word). He has been fostered with other dogs large and small. He likes them all but doesn’t have a clue about his size or personal space. He is fine crated and sometimes gated, but when we arrive home he will jump the gate and meet us at the door despite much discussion on staying in his room. He came to us all the way from a high kill shelter in San Antonio Texas. He’s not minding the snow (he thinks it’s delicious) or the cold. He’s a wonderful guy that is ready to be a part of a new adventure.

Forget personal space with this guy, he wants to crawl in your skin and be loved forever. She is a bit pushy in play and overwhelming to calm dogs because she doesn’t take no for an answer—because who wouldn’t want to play with her? For a playful dog she is a best friend since she can go on and on running and wrestling. Stuffy adores people and is tolerant of everything. She frequently gets picked up to get put in her kennel and doesn’t even mind “air jail”. Will she tell you her opinions of being locked up…absolutely. Stuffy is not for apartments or shared walls unless your neighbors too would like to hear her opinions shouted. Description: Timmy Toofers is an adorable boxer/pit bull type mix with the cutest little underbite smile you will ever see. It is fitting that he smiles all the time given that he is such a happy little dude. Timmy Toofers is excellent with dogs and loves to play with them. He thinks the cats are a bit scary in a way that makes him give them a wide berth. He is housetrained, crates well for the workday, and minds his manners well in the house. He does seem a bit like he’s been limited in his life experiences as toys absolutely baffle him and if you raise your voice or your hand too fast it sends him skittering, but he hands his heart over so completely after a few kind words. Timmy Toofers loves to be snuggled and loves to be held. He doesn’t even mind being carried around like a todder—in fact he loves it! Any love he gets he just soaks up. Timmy Toofers is an absolute delight and he is going to make whoever picks him laugh and smile every day. He is about 7 months old, 30 lbs and expected to remain on the smaller side around 40-45 lbs.

Description: Vega is a gorgeous Husky with all the husky traits we know and love—aloof, independent, silly, vocal, and a comedian. He is a typical my-way-or-the-highway husky and if you decide to do it differently, he will yell at you about it in the more hilarious way. Vega is great with other dogs and loves to play with them. He takes a bit to warm up to new people, never mean, but a bit wary. With people he knows though, he is a lovebug and will snuggle right up next to you. He is a bit flinchy with fast movements near his head or his collar being messed with but with the people he knows well that is already fading as he learns to trust. He appears to be housetrained but is in a shelter setting so might need a refresher when he gets into a home. He is getting very stressed in the shelter and has started to chew on his tail for comfort. He has been in the shelter for nearly 2 months and his time is running out. We cannot take him into rescue without a committed foster home or foster to adopt.

He absolutely loves to play with toys, tennis balls ranking high on his list of favorite things, and while he doesn’t mind self entertaining himself with them when a human joins in for the fun he is absolutely in his element. Looking for a fetch buddy? He is excellent at fetch and even knows “drop it”! Wicket is good with other dogs, fine with cats, and great with all people. He is housetrained, crates nicely for the workday, and minds his manners. Wicket knows some basics already and is a sponge to learn more. He is about 3 years old.
