Foster Homes Needed!

Are you looking at all these adorable faces and wishing you could take them all home? Have you ever considered fostering?!

Fostering is a great way to help us and the dogs out, and it can be as short or long term as you'd like! We work with you to make sure you get a dog you will enjoy, and we also strive to make sure it's as easy of a process as we can make it.

Taking home a new dog is never flawless... they will have accidents, they will bark in the crate, they are stressed and high energy the first few days making you question why you chose to do this. Hang in there with them, and it pays off. Usually within 3 days they settle in. We work to find a dog that is a good fit for what traits you are seeking in a foster dog.

Fostering requires you to commit to training, exercising, and care for the dog. It can be anywhere from 1 week-several months, depending on the dog. The average period of time is 2-3 weeks. We provide the food and crate, and vet visits when pre-approved by us beforehand. We do not cover vet bills we did not approve ahead of time.

If the dog is not working out, we require a 5 day minimum notice to find a new place. The more time the better, please. We do have back up fosters for things like emergencies, planned trips, etc. It's a great thing to do for a dog. It quite honestly means the difference between life and death.

Name: Bunty
Breed: Spaniel/ Aussie Mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
Size: Medium
Description: Bunty is a medium sized spaniel Aussie mix, currently shaved down due to extreme matting from his time as a stray. He holds no grudges for his previous lack of care and sat wonderfully for his shave down, happy for some treats and attention. Bunty gets along great with other dogs, friendly to everyone he meets, and is a total sweetheart. He is in a shelter setting so housetraining is unknown but he hates to potty in his kennel run so we suspect it’s there but might need a refresher in a home. He crates nicely and minds his manners in the house as well. Bunty is a great boy, looking for a forever home to show him the love and care he’s missed out on so far in his life.

Requirements: No special requirements

Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives.

Name: Harry
Breed: Shih Tzu/ Poodle Mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Description: Harry is a super loving, fun Shih Tzu/Poodle Mix with a puppy spirit. This little guy is all about making friends, loving on everyone he meets, and having fun. He is reported to be 6 years old but he acts so much younger it’s hard to believe he’s a middle-aged guy. He came into the shelter in terrible shape—thin, matted, filthy, and with a giant mass on his face. He’s all cleaned up now, the mass removed, and he’s gaining back the weight he needs. Harry is not looking like a super model right now with a haircut that’s shaved to the skin in places from how matted he was but he will absolutely win every personality contest. He is excellent with dogs, cats, and kids. He loves nothing more than toys and tossing toys around. If he can’t find a toy, socks are his favorite things to run around with. Harry is housetrained, crates well, and minds his manners in the house. He loves to go for walks and then snuggle up with his people or in a sunny spot for a snooze. This guy is a forever puppy and immediately will steal your heart!

She does think cats are a bit too fun to chase so needs a cat free home. She is surprisingly quiet for a husky though sometimes will give a quiet woo-woo for attention. She is housetrained and used to being crated for the workday. Mazzie is truly as beautiful in personality and she is in looks. She is laid-back but never turns down a romp in the snow or a walk! She is about 45 lbs and 4 years old.
